Stress Causes:

Basically stress has one cause that's our perceptions of and reactions to the situations that occur in our lives. Stress can be caused by something as simple as breaking a fingernail or by something as serious as losing a finger and sometimes the positive events in our lives can be as stressful as the negative ones. For example a birth of a child can be stressful both in positive and negative ways whether that child is a boy or a girl. Does that child has all of its fingers and toes or is it healthy and beautiful?
While anything that causes stress is called a stressor. But generally the stress we worry about most is distress and the negative stress can be caused by either processive stressors or systemic stressors.
Causes of stress:
Listing of stress is very tricky. There are innumerable stress factors as individuals react to a similar situation differently. Stress can cause affect to your attitude also, even to your health.
Your attitude: It is said that life acts and you react in which our attitude is the reaction to what life hands out to us. Stress symptoms can be avoided or aroused by the way we relate to stressors and we know that stress is created by what we think rather than by what has actually happened. For example, handling adopted children, academic failures, retirements, tax audits or sudden loss of money. For all these situations we need a relaxed attitude, focused will and preparedness to face the quirks of life positively else one tends to feel stressed and reacts in anger and frustration. Hence with a better control of attention one can feel that the world is a more congenial place to live in.
Life's situation: many life events can also cause stress such as divorce, financial crisis, death, midlife crisis, managing a physically or mentally challenged family member. Even conditions like unemployment or a sudden lay off from the job can cause tremendous stress and for these situations one has to take life positively and fight all these situations.
It could be in your genes: research article once suggested that the psychological state of the mother may affect fetal development and it could be caused by stress induced reduced blood flow through the arteries that feed the uterus. It could also create a mental as well as physical predisposition to certain diseases and behavioral patterns in the later life of a child which could be harmful for the child.
