Glasses:

For a prefect vision:

Glasses are recommended by the doctor if the vision is not perfect that is, if the person has got some eye disorder that affects the vision in general. There is a great variety of lenses and they are worn by the people for protection as well as for a cosmetic use. These days the technology has advances to a great extent and it is proven by a fact that the glasses are made exactly as per the exact requirement of the eye. Some people need bi-focal glasses while some need cylindrical and there is a cylindrical type in these lenses also. Most of the people go in for the lenses that are prescribed by the doctor and they are designed in a way that helps the person to get the desired vision.

Glasses for 3-d image perfection:

The main purpose of these glasses is to describe a presentation system that is visual and it is specifically designed so that there is an illusion of depth by the viewer. One can easily make out the position of an object without any obstruction as the visual cortex of the person decides the three-dimensional position of the object and the image is interpreted properly. Modern glasses are typically supported by pads on the bridge of the nose and by temples placed over the ears for a perfect vision and the position are perfect. Historical types include the pince-nez, monocle, and lorgnette but they are not used these days and people use fiber instead of glasses.

Change in the usage of glasses:

As in the earlier days the glasses had to be handles with an extra care so that there was no breakage but now that fear is not there as plastic is comparitively much stronger. There are many types of glasses that are designed in such a way that they have a ultra-violet protection so that the sun protection is a part of it and one does not worry to wear the sunglasses. Some people have to use glasses for reading and they are specifically designed for the people who have to use them after the age of 40.
