Counting Calories:

How important is counting calorie?

Calorie counting is one of the most important parts of remaining healthy. Today because of chaotic lifestyles, most people find it almost impossible to plan out a proper diet according to their bodily requirements. They do not find the time to find out what is right for them to eat and what is unacceptable to their body. Counting calories is important because our body in a certain quantity requires every nutrient. Too much or too little of any element can do a lot of damage to our development and growth. Overweight can use calorie counting as a strategy of losing weight by counting calories by ensuring the amount of calories he consumes each day is less than the amount of calories he burns up. Whereas vice versa for an underweight.

The use of counting calories:

By keeping a count of the calories the amount of food one eats can be controlled. The person becomes aware of how much his o r her body actually requires. How much he or she should eat rather than how much he or she could eat. Other that awareness, dietician believe that counting calories will have a long-term healthy weight loss effect. Counting calories is an easy process and therefore the individual can help himself by staying away from the forbidden foods.

The requirement and calorie counting role:

The use of calorie counting is already been stated earlier. However, another question that might tickle one's mind 'is whether is it necessary?' Well, the answer is 'affirmative'. Some dieticians believe that keeping a count of calories can help reduce heart disease and also help reduce signs of aging. A 30 percent reduction in calories led to higher levels of HDL -- the "good" cholesterol that decreases the risk of heart disease. Also it can stabilize the blood pressure. Also some researchers believe that it can perform other wonders like; slow age-related deficits in learning, immune response, DNA repair and behavior.

Thus, it can be noted that calorie reduction or increase will prove fruitful and beneficial for all. It is important, however to maintain a healthy diet along with regular exercising routine.
